New Roof
Complete roof replacement, from stripping the old covering back to the timbers through to new felt, battens, and tiles or slates. Structural repairs handled as part of the job.
Roof Repairs
Slipped or cracked tiles, leaks, storm damage and general wear. We trace a leak back to its actual source rather than patching over the symptom, so the fix holds.
Flat Roofing
New flat roofs and overlays for extensions, garages and dormers, laid to proper falls so water actually clears. GRP, EPDM rubber and torch-on systems.
Chimney work
Rebuilds, repointing, flaunching, cowls and full removals. Chimneys take the worst of the weather and are one of the most common hidden causes of damp inside a property.
Lead work & flashing
Correctly coded lead to valleys, abutments, chimneys and roof junctions. Properly dressed lead is what keeps water out where two surfaces meet.
Lead roofs
Traditional lead sheet roofing for bays, porches, dormers and canopies. Long-lasting and well suited to period properties where appearance matters as much as performance.
Fascias, soffits & guttering
Replacement uPVC or timber fascias and soffits, plus new guttering and downpipes. Failing gutters are behind a large share of damp walls and rotten roof timbers.
Felt roofs
Torch-on felt for garages, sheds and outbuildings. A cost-effective covering where a full flat roof system isn't warranted, with proper detailing at edges and upstands.
General brickwork
Garden walls, piers, parapets, and making good after roof or chimney work. Matched brick and mortar so repairs sit properly against the existing wall.
Re-pointing
Raking out perished mortar and repointing in a matched mix. Failed pointing lets water into the wall and accelerates damage to the brickwork itself.
Tiling & slating
Clay, concrete and natural slate, on full roofs and patch repairs alike. We match existing tiles wherever possible so repairs blend into the roof rather than announcing themselves.
Velux windows
Supply and fitting of roof windows, including forming the opening, flashing kit, and making good inside and out. Transforms the light in a loft or top-floor room.
Roof valeting
Moss removal, cleaning and treatment. Moss traps water against the tiles and blocks gutters and valleys — clearing it meaningfully extends the life of the covering.

"We knew we needed our roof flashing re-done and we're recommended S&H Roofing by our neighbours who had recently also used them. William, the owner, came round and assessed the work. His quote was in-line with other quotes but included a bit more, especially in terms of some small items he'd spotted that others hadn't. We ended up also asking him to arrange a full repaint if the external windows, doors etc (front and back) All the work was delivered as promised and within the agreed timescales. All his team were polite, punctual and hard-working. We are extremely happy with the final product and with all aspects of the delivery. William's team went above and beyond, even cleaning all our roof tiles to ensure longevity. William found a couple of additional issues which were glad to get fixed while we had scaffold up so that now we are confident we do t need tk worry about our roof at all for some time. I highly recommend these guys."

"William and his team were great from the word go. We met to look at the job as arranged, and the quote was provided promptly. The work entailed sealing and repointing large coping slabs on a parapet wall, the sides of the parapet wall were dressed and the contained flat roof was redone with 2mm underlay and 4mm felt. Due to the nature of the site we only had four specific days to complete the work, it was finished on the third day and William arranged for the scaffolding to be removed on day four. The entire operation went smoothly, finished on time and to the agreed budget and the site was left clean and tidy. I shall certainly be using William's services on another site in the future."

"We engaged William to repair the main roof on our house due to faulty workmanship in its construction. William is a highly experienced roofer and diagnosed the problem immediately. In addition to this we then asked him to do a full exterior overhaul of the house which included render repairs, painting, window painting and repairs to flat roofs.
